As many of you who follow us on Twitter know, we are trying to reach 8,000 followers to give away Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries on your choice of BluRay or DVD.

I had issues on my Supernatural twitter where not everyone that was supposed to be listed got listed. So I’ve decided to try something different.

After you tweet to your followers to follow us @xVampDiaries (don’t forget #TVDBloodFalls in your tweets), come back to this post and let us know you promoted us. Each time you do it, come back and post a comment. Include your Twitter ID in your comment so I know who you are! You can even include a link to your tweet showing us you promoted us!

You must be following us to qualify. Once we hit 8,000 followers (we’re very close), we’ll do a random draw with all the names in the comments and the list we have on our twitter (for the early entries).

Dear Fans,

I wanted to bring you all up to date on the status of the project. Today, September 28, Ian Somerhalder tweeted about the project and a surge in bday greetings and donations swarmed my inbox.

I wanted to thank everyone for their devotion, beautiful messages, and very generous donations. This doesn’t mean that this needs to end here. Please continue with your messages and donations so we can surprise Ian with everything we fans can do. Now that he knows, it means we need to up our game plan a bit.

Remember, if you cannot donate, that is ok! You can still send in a wonderful birthday greeting!

I’d like to thank Vampire Diaries Online, Damonic and all the other wonderful sites for posting about our project.

Another thing I’d like to add is the cost to prepare Ian’s actual birthday package is going to be a little hefty. I am not using donation money to cover those costs. Do you see the donate button on the sidebar with the Ian Bday Project tab? If you are able to contribute a few dollars towards the birthday book, postage fees, stuffed animal and another surprise bday gift I’m adding to the package, then please do! I’d appreciate the help!
