In his first big screen role since breaking out on The CW’s Vampire Diaries, Paul Wesley stars in an upcoming crime comedy called The Baytown Disco.
The film tells the story of The Oodie Brothers — three infamously ruthless Alabama boys who find themselves on the wrong side of crooked cops, relentless Feds, mad mobsters, road pirates, tomahawk-wielding bikers and tricky femme fatales when they finally try to do a single good deed.
In the film, Paul plays Reese — a Federal Agent — who is investigating the Oodie brothers as they cut a swath across the South.

Another Mystic Falls event is around the corner on The Vampire Diaries, and we’ve got fresh pics of the gang all dressed up for the occasion — and kicking butt, too!
On the Feb. 9 episode of Diaries (The CW, 8/7c), Elena and Co. attend a formal ball, which in this town can only mean two things: Everything will go horribly awry (picture of Damon shoving someone off a balcony, check ) and romantic entanglements ensue (shot of Elena and Stefan sharing screentime and lingering looks, check).
Meanwhile, Klaus is caught staring at someone with curiosity and awe. Since an earlier sneak peek revealed that he and Caroline share a dance, we’re thinking the blonde vamp is on the receiving end of that glance.

“Vampire Diaries” fans know that when Elijah (Daniel Gillies) is awake, the world is simply a better place. This show has killed and revived the noble Original vampire more times than we’d care to count, so we’re just glad that it appears he’ll survive this week’s mini-hiatus long enough to cause some trouble in episode 313, “Bringing Out the Dead.”
That said, we’re not holding out hope for him to last very long — after all, last time there was a vampire dinner party in Mystic Falls, Elijah died twice. Yes, it’s time for another dinner party. It looks to us like Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is debuting his new fortress/mansion/crypt in true Original style.
This time, everyone’s teaming up against Klaus. Stefan enlists Bonnie and her deadbeat mom, Abby, while Damon turns to Elijah for help. (We’re guessing Klaus’s little matricide secret doesn’t stay secret very long at all.) According to the official episode description, Klaus will be sharing some family stories — so we’re thinking fans can look forward to flashbacks once again.
Judging by the pics from the episode, Klaus and Stefan come to some sort of deal… and then Klaus tries to light Stefan on fire? Yes, that sounds about right, given the mercurial nature of their bromance. Elsewhere, Caroline is going to be devastated once again. (Listen, we know Candice Accola is really good at playing up some major trauma, but can Caroline get a day off from tragedy for once?)
We know, it’s a bummer that they’re skipping a week, but we’ve given up trying to understand the schedulers’ secrets. Hopefully, the photos below will tide you over until February 2, when the show returns with a vengeance. Literally.

Guess that smokin’ hot chemistry between Klaus and Caroline in the latest installment of The Vampire Diaries wasn’t just a fluke.
In the episode airing Feb. 9, the Mystic Falls gang attends a formal of sorts, one that finds the pretty blonde vamp and the big bad who recently saved her life sharing what looks to be an intimate dance. Meanwhile, the brothers Salvatore appear to be putting the moves on Elena… again.
“It’s very grand, very beautiful,” Klaus’ portrayer, Joseph Morgan, tells TVLine of the “cinematic” ep. “You can expect to learn a lot more about me and, indeed, my whole family.”

Mystic Falls’ finest couples are all hitting the dance floor — and just in time for Valentine’s Day!
Clearly ignoring Pink‘s words of advice, the Mystic Falls gang gets fancy and dancey on the Feb. 9 episode of The Vampire Diaries, and you know what that means: Relationship drama! These nine new photos from the episode, appropriately titled “Dangerous Liaisons,” show Elena (Nina Dobrev) spending equal time on the dance floor with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley), while Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline (Candice Accola) show off some moves of their own.

“The Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev turned 23 on Monday, January 9, but she was so busy working and flying to Los Angeles to collect her Best TV Drama Actress People’s Choice Award, she didn’t get to really celebrate until Saturday night.
While some celebs might want to be waited on hand and foot on their birthdays, Nina opted for a different approach: she cooked up a storm! Nina and her guests, including castmates Ian Somerhalder, Steven R. McQueen, Candice Accola, Zach Roerig, and Joseph Morgan, went to Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Atlanta, where chefs taught them to prepare their own yummy food.
The “TVD” cast and friends learned to whip up Thai chicken satay kebabs, mussels steamed in coconut milk and lemongrass, a seared salmon and tuna salad… and, of course, warm chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Le Cordon Bleu also gave Nina a stunning cake, made to look like Elena’s diary from the show.
Happy birthday Nina! (And congratulations on being the first-ever write in People’s Choice Award winner. “Vampire Diaries” fans are fierce.)

Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev)
Mystic Falls is known for its town events, and this one, a formal ball held at Klaus’ newly renovated mansion in the Feb. 9 episode ”Dangerous Liaisons,” appears to have had the biggest budget. But what do we have here… ”Are they getting along? Or are they fighting?” executive producer Julie Plec asks coyly. ”All we can say is that after a season of physical distance, they’re dancing.”
